Argentium Silver can be embedding into and fired with metal clay without the fire scale or oxidation problems associated with firing sterling silver. Because it contains more germanium than traditional alloys, Argentium® Silver is highly tarnish-resistant and requires almost no polishing. Any blackening that appears on the surface is not fire scale and can easily be sanded or polished off. Wire size: .032"

Please note that Argentium Silver has a melting point of 766C. It is suggested that it be kiln fired no higher than 700C.
