Paragon Digital Xpress-E-12A
The Paragon Digital Xpress-E-12A fires to 1093°C. Create breathtaking jewellery or small keepsakes in silver clay, enameling, china painting, glass, lost wax casting, bronze clay, copper clay or ceramics. Because this the kiln opens from the front, it is ideal for copper enamelling.

The Xpress-E-12A heating element, exposed in dropped, recessed insulating firebrick grooves, is easy to replace if ever necessary. The 2 1/2” thick firebricks store plenty of heat for slow cooling through the glass annealing range. For small glass pieces used as jewellery, you can anneal without having to turn the element back on during cooling. (If extra heat is necessary to anneal large pieces, that is easy. Just program a slow cooling segment in Ramp-Hold mode.) The firebricks store heat for quick temperature recovery after removing a copper enameling piece.
The thermocouple is protected with a high-nickel stainless steel sheath for long life. A switch on the front panel turns off power to the controller when the kiln is not in use.
Unlatch and open the door with one hand; the latch operates so smoothly that delicate copper enameling or silver clay pieces remain undisturbed while opening or closing the door. The door opens smoothly on a heavy-duty 1/2” hinge shaft. No extra stand is needed; the built-in base stays cool even during extended hold times.
The interior is large enough to fire a 10” bronze/copper clay stainless steel container. A vent hole in the top, complete with tapered vent plug, is designed for lost wax casting. You can also vent combustible cork clay and other fillers used with silver clay.
Specially designed cartons and foam padding assure that the kiln will arrive safely.
Paragon kilns are built to be dependable. They are loaded with attention to details, such as the costly nickel-plated copper wire with high temperature glass-braided insulation. Wires are fastened to the elements with heat-dissipating connectors refined and proven over many years in Paragon kilns.
The Xpress-E-12A has a durable high temperature, water-base finish. Paragon chose water-base paint because of the low emissions during spraying.

XpressE-12A Shelf Kit
This shelf and furniture kit consists of carefully selected fireclay shelves and posts for these particular models. When estimating the price of the XpressE-12A and XpressE-12T Shelf kilns, we strongly recommend including the additional cost of furniture available ex stock under Firing Accessories. The furniture allows you to stack multiple layers. Without it, you will only be able to fire projects that can fit on the kiln bottom.

Bead Door for Xpress-E-12A
Optional Extra. Adding the optional 65mm x 165mm bead door to your Paragon XpressE-12A or Paragon XpressE-12T Kiln is like buying two kilns instead of one. Not only will you be able to fire enamel, glass, and ceramics, but with the bead door you will be able to anneal glass beads.The bead door comes complete with a bead mandrel holder.
Paragon XpressE Series 50mm x 50mm Glass Window
Optional Extra. Suitable for the XpressE-12A and XpressE-12T Paragon Kilns. Many glass artists find it difficult to work without a kiln window. The window is especially useful for glass fusing and copper enamelling.
You can now purchase the glass window as an optional extra and watch glass treasures progress through every stage from tack fuse to full fuse through the 50mm x 50mm high-temperature window. If you look through the window, we suggest angling your line of sight so that the glow from the elements reflect off the surface of the firing piece (PLEASE NOTE: ALWAYS wear firing safety glasses when viewing any kiln interior). The glass window is guaranteed up to 1260°C.

All Paragon Kilns are custom manufactured in the USA to meet Australian Safety standards and specifications. Paragon Kilns are not stock items for us and the current delivery estimate on Paragon kilns is 4-6+ weeks. The prices shown on our website include the kiln and shipping to an Australian address within 50km of most Capital Cities (excluding Darwin and Hobart) If a kiln is purchased and the customer's designated delivery address falls outside of the Paragon Industries "free shipping CBD zone" We contact Paragon Industries for a shipping quotation and will send an invoice to cover any additional shipping/insurance. Paragon kilns are sold in Australia ex GST and customs/import duty. GST and other applicable duties/fees are collected from the addressee/ kiln owner by the shipping agent (usually FEDEX) when the kiln arrives in Australia. The General Rate of Duty is estimated at 5% X FOB Value of goods (Value converted to AUD at the exchange rate determined by Australian customs). GST is estimated at 10% x Cost of goods, Insurance, freight + Any Duty Paid.
MAY 2022. Due to world wide supply chain issues, Paragon Industries have added a new controller option. It is the Paragon Touch Express which is manufactured by the Bartlett Instrument Company. The Paragon Touch Express will now be the current and only alternative available. It will replace the now out of stock Sentry Express 5.0-3 Key Controller which is manufactured by Orton Ceramic Foundation.
As of 2 May 2022 Paragon Industries will be using this smaller version of their Sentinel Touch Screen Controller in lieu of the Sentry Xpress 5.0-3 Key Controller. By offering this proven, high quality, touchscreen technology, Paragon Industries will be able to maintain production and their lead times. Please be aware that all new kiln orders will receive kilns with a Bartlett Touch Screen Controller NOT the Sentry Express 5.0-3 Key Controller. Paragon Industries are currently researching additional controller options.****
