To strengthen the firing chamber, the firebrick corners are fitted together with L-shaped notches. This type of joint lasts longer than the butted joint found on many other brands. Rugged construction makes this kiln a little workhorse.

These are the great features of the Sentry Xpress 3-key Controller for Ceramic Kilns. Fire to a pyrometric cone by merely entering cone number and slow, medium or fast speed. The Program Review lets you check the program you are about to fire. Set a temperature alarm to remind yourself to close a vented lid. Design Ramp-Hold programs with up to 8 segments (steps). Skip a segment in Ramp-Hold during firing. Hold (soak) the temperature in both Cone-Fire and Ramp-Hold. Control both heating and cooling in Ramp-Hold. Add hold time in Ramp-Hold during firing. Change the target temperature in Ramp-Hold during firing. Temperature Display throughout firing and cooling in your choice of either Fahrenheit or Celsius. Thermocouple Offset adjusts the thermocouple readout. Set the Delay to turn on the kiln later to suit your schedule. Caldera and Firefly Shelf and Furniture Kit.
Suitable for the Caldera Digital and Firefly Digital Paragon Kilns. This shelf and furniture kit consists of carefully selected fireclay shelves and posts for these particular models. When estimating the price of the Caldera and Firefly kilns, we strongly recommend including the additional cost of furniture. The furniture allows you to stack multiple layers. Without it, you will only be able to fire projects that can fit on the kiln bottom.

Caldera-BC Bead Annealing Collar
The Caldera-BC collar is a kiln section that stacks onto the Caldera kiln. The Caldera-BC collar has a 185mm x 50mm door on the side for annealing glass beads. The Caldera-BC collar adds 115mm of height to the kiln. The collar has no heating elements. The Caldera, even with a collar, still fires to 1093°C. The Collar is made of 65mm insulating refractory fire bricks.

The Paragon Caldera - E Collar
This enamelling collar stacks onto the modular Caldera or Caldera-S, adding 170mm of height to the kiln. The Caldera-E collar has a 183mm x 100mm door on the side for copper enameling. Now you can explore the exciting art of copper enameling without having to buy an enameling kiln.
The collar has no heating elements. Nevertheless, the Caldera and Caldera-S, even with a collar, still fire to 982°C. The Caldera-E collar is made of 60mm thick hand-selected insulating refractory firebricks. The firebricks, wrapped in heavy-gauge stainless steel, store heat for minimal heat loss after opening the door to remove a copper piece. The collar includes case tighteners for easy maintenance.

MAY 2022. Due to world wide supply chain issues, Paragon Industries have added a new controller option. It is the Paragon Touch Express which is manufactured by the Bartlett Instrument Company. The Paragon Touch Express will now be the current and only alternative available. It will replace the now out of stock Sentry Express 5.0-3 Key Controller which is manufactured by Orton Ceramic Foundation.
As of 2 May 2022 Paragon Industries will be using this smaller version of their Sentinel Touch Screen Controller in lieu of the Sentry Xpress 5.0-3 Key Controller. By offering this proven, high quality, touchscreen technology, Paragon Industries will be able to maintain production and their lead times. Please be aware that all new kiln orders will receive kilns with a Bartlett Touch Screen Controller NOT the Sentry Express 5.0-3 Key Controller. Paragon Industries are currently researching additional controller options.****

include the kiln and shipping to an Australian address within
50km of most Capital Cities (excluding Darwin and Hobart) If
a kiln is purchased and the customer's designated delivery address
falls outside of the Paragon Industries "free shipping CBD zone"
We contact Paragon Industries for a shipping quotation and will
send an invoice to cover any additional shipping/insurance.
Paragon kilns are sold in Australia ex GST and customs/import
duty. GST and other applicable duties/fees are collected
from the addressee/ kiln owner by the shipping agent (usually
FEDEX) when the kiln arrives in Australia. The General Rate of
Duty is estimated at 5% X FOB Value of goods (Value converted to
AUD at the exchange rate determined by Australian customs). GST
is estimated at 10% x Cost of goods, Insurance, freight + Any Duty
Paid.
