PMC3 Square Kit

This kit includes some metal clay basics and other extras to help you have fun with silver PMC3.

The Kit includes:

5-grams of PMC3.

15-gram jar of PMC3 slip/paste.

9-gram syringe of PMC3

1 pair of .5mm Plastic Spacer Strips

1 pair of .25mm Plastic Spacer Strips

1 Brass Brush (toothbrush style)

Roller (may be clear or opaque)

Set of 3 Flexible Blades with protector

1 Fine Needle File

1 Set of 4 Makins B Texture Sheets

1 Set of 3 Graduated Makins Cutters (either heart or square or triangle or rectangle shapes)

1 Burnisher

2 White Teflon non-stick sheets 150 x 150mm

• PMC3™ is suitable for torch-firing, gas stove top firing as well as kiln-firing.

• Every variety of PMC is sold by the metal weight, not the weight that includes the water and binders that burn off during firing. You get every gram of precious metal you pay for from PMC.

• PMC® has a strong adverse reaction to contact with aluminum. Do not use aluminum tools or allow your PMC to come into contact with any aluminum object.

PMC3 Composition: Metal powder (90%), water and organic binder (10%)

Colour: Pickle white

Shrinkage: 12%

Physical Properties:

• Firing temperature: 900°C for two hours to achieve highest hardness and maximum durability; or 600°C for 45 minutes; or 650°C for 20 minutes; or 700°C for 10 minutes.

• Melting point: 960°C

• Density after firing: 9.3 S.G. rolled silver = 10.5 S.G.

Roller (Please note that the roller included in this kit may be clear or grey in colour)

The tool content of this kit is very basic. In comparison to other kits, the silver metal clay content makes this kit excellent value.
