Using any extruder for extended periods can create unnecessary stress on hands and wrists. This adapter enables you to drive Makin's Professional® stainless steel extruders with an electric or cordless drill.

Please read the following and all the enclosed, package instructions before use.

The Makins Professional® Ultimate Clay Extruder Drill Adaptor is intended and designed for use with Makin's Professional® stainless steel extruders only. 
Warning:  Makins Ultimate Clay Extruder Drill Adaptors are not recommended for use with high speed or impact drill.  If used incorrectly, Electric drill adapters can exert excessive speed and torque which will strip the cap threads of the extruder barrel at either end of the extruder (*please refer to the information below)

Use the Ultimate Clay Extruder® Drill Adapter with 1/4" or 3/8" variable low speed drills.

Do not exceed 90 RPM's.

Do not expose the extruder to extended usage resulting in overheating.

*Please Note: Damage to any extruder being used with the Makins Extruder Adaptor is not covered under the factory warranty.

With attention and care the Makins Extruder Adaptor works well and efficiently. However, due to the variables of individual clay practise and the variety of drills available for use, we cannot guarantee or warrant any Makins Extruder or other brand of extruder damaged when being used with the Makins Extruder Adaptor.  

Cordless and other electric drill types generate excessive and often, uncontrolled amounts of torque force.
If the Makins Extruder Adaptor is used 1) without the appropriate control over drill settings 2) extended usage 3) used without knowledge of the appropriate material plasticity/malleability of the inserted clay, considerable force and heat generation will be applied within the extruder. This combination has the potential to strip or distort the threads of the extruder endcaps, at one or both ends. 

To avoid damaging the extruder, attention, care and extreme caution is recommended when using the Makins Extruder Adaptor.

If using the Makin's Professional® stainless steel extruder with food products, use only food grade lubricant.
